Boulder Falls

Get out your tape measure because you’ll need to hold up some measurements to appreciate the massive size of these boulders. The scene is a simple illusion intended to look deep although it is quite shallow to minimize construction.

*** The Boulders

* Flanking Stones (main rocks) To the left & right of the falls are two huge flanking stones the tallest stands 5’ above the water line and is approximately 2-½’ wide.

* Ornamental Stones

Three large ornamental stones are visible in the background. They give the illusion of depth and retain the soil at a different height.

* Viewing stone

A large viewing stone (3’ X 3-½’ ) sets in the foreground and makes the perfect place to enjoy the pond, falls and feed the critters.

*** The Pond

The pond is 3’x 6’ at the widest and longest points. It is designed to be hidden by planting the perimeter with “step-able” plants such as Wooly Thyme to grow over and hang to the waterline.

*** The bank

An artificial “river bank” (approximately 6’ long) overhang adds height to the left side of the scene. It stands 16” high at the tallest point and tapers into the ground.

*** The plants NOT INCLUDED in the price.

*The tallest on the left: Vine Maple, Japanese Maple or Bamboo, Etc .

*The lower left: Juniper, Sword fern or other low mounding shrub.

*The right background: Hemlock, Cryptomeria, Cypress or other upright tree.

* Not shown. The entire ground should be covered in ground covers including the perimeter of the pond. Larger textured in the fore-ground and finer textured in the back ground.
