Now that you’ve finished a complex six sided shape, You have all of the knowledge and skills to create your own custom projects. Here are some ideas and useful information to get you started.

1) CHANGE THE HEIGHT

It’s easy to alter the height of the lights to create different visual levels, or if your selling them different prices could be charged for different heights.

Just subtract the desired inches from the longest measurement of:

A) The interior tube

B) the exterior hexagon

C) the PVC pipe

CREATE DIFFERENT SHAPES

Whether you build a column round, square, or hexagon, its always the same process. You can use your own desired measurements and shapes and follow the step by step directions to guide you through the proper process and procedures in the right orders. For example-  *Which way to lay the wire. *Where to leave the stickers. *Build the interior part first leaving extra length for a lid (if desired) then cut so there are stickers on the top's. *Leave tabs on top of your exterior part for connecting the top and interior. *Etc.

MAKE IT SQUARE

Create square concrete boxes instead of columns for square lights or water feature pools etc.

Interior size & Exterior sizes

12" inside with 13-1/2" outside = 14-1/2" finished.

14" inside with 16" outside = 17" finished.

MAKE IT ROUND

Create round columns.

2) BUILD A SQUARE OR HEXAGON LAMPSHADE

Be sure to have it made when the directions call for it so it will be ready to be used as a stamp in the wet mortar for later placement. (See step 12 Applying The Mud)

B) The lampshade "cloth" can easily be creased in order to hold its position in the wire lampshade holder.

3) MAKE IT STABLE
Use your lights more like free standing lamps on hard surfaces without them wobbling on top of the wires.

A) Stand the assembled armature base up, upside-down. (The bottom is open to the inside)

B) Cut out a (T) notch from both the inner and outer parts.

C) Before mortaring your column roll three short lengths of scrap wire into some newspaper and lie them under this notch.

D)After your mortar has cured and your chiseling out the base just remove the paper covered wires. This will be a wire notch for the wires to exit the bottom of the column.

MAKE IT A FOUNTAIN

Plum it as a fountain. You can plumb one single column or pool or several by adding a simple flow control.
