~ CONTROL MOSQUITO'S WITH THE PERFECT TRAP!
I don’t know how many times
I’ve heard someone say they don’t want a pond because of mosquitoes.
A pond
is an excellent natural remedy to kill mosquitoes. A mosquito is going to find somewhere to lay their larva one way or another
and a pond is the best place they could possibly do their dirty little deed.
Even a pond with
some circulation will act as a mosquito magnet. There is usually a place in a pond for them to plant their larva such as between
Lillie pad leaves or between the stems of marginal plants in the shallows.
What’s so great
about this is that they are feeding your fish and protecting you from itchy little bites at the same time.
You will need to add fish to your pond for it to work of course. A common $0.10 gold fish works great.
I have three gold fish that have been living in a half barrel container garden for two years now. There
are also some other neat little fish often overlooked for this purpose.
